City Council Revokes Hot Dog Seller's License

The council revoked the application due to a pending criminal court case.

The Beverly City Council voted, on reccommendation from the police chief, to revoke a hot dog vendor's license due to a pending criminal case in Salem District Court, according to an article on Boston.com.

Beverly Police Chief Mark Ray said that he had approved a Hawker's and Peddler's license earlier for hot dog vendor John Doyle but withdrew it after he learned of Doyle's arrest.

Doyle is due back in Salem District Court on Aug. 7.
