North Shore RFC Hosts Local Rugby Tournament

to Benefit Memorial Scholarship Fund
Second annual rugby match at Beverly High School in honor of fallen South Shore RFC player

Beverly, MA – June 11, 2014 — North Shore Rugby Football Club (NSRFC), a USA Rugby Division II founded in 2002, today announced its second annual rugby tens tournament to be held Saturday, June 14 at Beverly High School in Beverly, MA. The match is being played to benefit the Kyle Dandrow Memorial Scholarship Fund in honor of the South Shore RFC rugby player who passed away this winter at the age of 28.

The North Shore Rugby Invitational 10s Tournament will feature
teams from around Massachusetts with strong ties to NSRFC. In addition to Cape Cod RFC,
Greater Boston Wasps RFC
and Salem State
University RFC, all of which were founded by former North Shore RFC
members, the tournament also includes Old
Gold RFC. Starting with a 10am kickoff, the round-robin format will allow
each team to play the others with the top two facing in a championship match to determine the winner.

“We are grateful to the city of Beverly for supporting an event that allows us to raise funds for such a meaningful cause while playing the sport we love in a topnotch facility like the Beverly High School turf field,” said Zachary Cook, NSRFC President. “Last year’s event was such a huge success both for us and for our designated charity that we are extremely happy to do it again.”

Admission: $5 suggested donation to the Kyle Dandrow Memorial Scholarship Fund
