LIST: Winners of Beverly Business Awards 2013

Beverly Chamber awards seven categories at second annual Beverly Business Awards, held Thursday night at the Danversport Yacht Club.

The Beverly Chamber of Commerce was joined by State Senator Joan Lovely and State Rep. Jerry Parisella, city officials and local business owners at this year's held Thursday night at Danversport Yacht Club.

"It is so inspirational for me to see so many of you here tonight," Mayor Scanlon said before announcing this year's businessperson of the year.

"All the people nominated, all the people who won, it's just great," he said. "And it makes me feel like going to work in the morning. Thank you."

Alongside the seven business categories, the Leslie S. Ray Hall of Fame Award was presented to Bill Howard, chairman of the board of Beverly Cooperative Bank.

A portion of the evening's program was donated to Beverly High School's DECA program. DECA is an international student organization that develops 'a respect for education which contribtues to occupational competence, and to promote the understanding and appreciation for the responsibilities of citizen in our free, competitive enterprise system.'
