Guanci Elected Council President Again

Paul Guanci will serve as Beverly City Council president for the fifth time starting in January, joined by incumbent Jason Silva and newcomer Matt St. Hilaire.

Paul Guanci topped the City Council at-large race on Tuesday and will be the City Council president again.

It will be Guanci's fifth term serving as the president of the city's legislative body.

Guanci received 7,589 votes in a field of five candidates, according to unofficial results. Incumbent Jason Silva was also reelected as an at-large City Councilor, and first time Council candidate Matt St. Hilaire was elected to the Council with 4,115 votes.
