Beverly Throttles Tewksbury, Earns First Ever North Title

The Redmen took an early 1-0 lead, but the Panthers ripped off nine straight goals to earn a state title berth.

Top-seeded Beverly trailed No. 3 Tewksbury in the championship game of the North Division 2 boys hockey tournament – for all of 58 seconds.

From there, the game was never in any doubt.

The Panthers allowed the Redmen to take a 1-0 edge midway through the first period. But Jake Straw evened things up less than one minute later, and Beverly went on to rip off nine consecutive goals to pull away for a 9-1 win.
