School Superintendent Finalists to Be Interviewed This Week, Picked by December

Public interviews with the four finalists for the Beverly Public Schools superintendent position begins on Tuesday night.

The new superintendent for Beverly Public Schools could be selected as soon as early December after public interviews with the four finalists this week, according to School Committee President Maria Decker.

The School Committee will conduct public interviews with the four finalists starting on Tuesday evening and running through Thursday.

The following week, School Committee will conduct site visits to the current workplaces of the finalists, according to Decker. After those visits, the School Committee will deliberate and vote on a top pick to offer the job.

"I expect negotiations with that individual to be finalized in early December," Decker said. "When that individual could begin will depend on conditions of their current employment."

The public interview schedule is as follows. All interviews are at the Beverly High School library.
