Beverly Eighth Grader Attends Presidential Inaugural Conference

Conference will provide Inaugural Scholars with a deeper understanding of the history behind the electoral process and the traditions surrounding the Presidential Inauguration.

Glen Urquhart eighth grader Jack Norton will attend the Middle School
Presidential Inaugural Conference later this month in Washington D.C.

Norton was nominated along with other outstanding middle school students
from across the United States, who will take part in the Inauguration of the President of the United States. During the five-day program, which begins on Jan. 19, the Middle School Conference will provide Inaugural Scholars with a deeper understanding of the history behind the electoral process and the rich
traditions surrounding the Presidential Inauguration.

“The Presidential Inaugural Conference provides students with the opportunity to take part in historic events that coincide with the Inauguration of the President of the United States, and we certainly hope this will inspire the next generation of leaders,” said Dr. Marguerite Regan, Dean of Academic Affairs for the Presidential Inaugural Conference.

Norton attended the Jr. National Young Leaders Conference in 2012 to study
the history and traits of great leaders. All Glen Urquhart students are encouraged in their goals to achieve academic excellence and to actively
participate in community service.
