President Obama said yesterday that U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice had withdrawn from consideration to be the next Secretary of State, saying conservative opposition would make her candidacy too "disruptive."
With Rice out of the picture, Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) is seen by many to be the frontrunner to replace current top diplomat Hillary Clinton.
On Huffington Post and elsewhere, there has been speculation that the reason for such fierce opposition to Rice was to get Kerry into the Obama Administration and get back the U.S. Senate seat recently lost by Republican Sen. Scott Brown to his successful Democratic rival, Elizabeth Warren.
We asked last month about who you think should run for the Senate seat, if, in fact, Kerry is offered the State position and takes it. What do you think now?
