Beverly Mayor Bill Scanlon endorsed Elizabeth Warren for U.S. Senate this afternoon at Beverly Depot.

Beverly Mayor William F. Scanlon today endorsed consumer advocate Elizabeth Warren, saying she will be a strong and independent leader in the United States Senate for working families across the Commonwealth.

“I am proud to stand with Elizabeth Warren, who has fought her whole life to create a level playing field for working families and small businesses,” said Mayor Scanlon. “Elizabeth has shown she is willing to take on the powerful interests in Washington. She will be an independent voice who will stand up for families here in Beverly and across Massachusetts.”

Mayor Scanlon endorsed Elizabeth during her visit to Beverly today, where she met local residents and discussed her efforts to ensure that hardworking people throughout the Commonwealth have the opportunity to succeed.

“I’m honored to receive Mayor Scanlon’s endorsement,” said Warren. “I will be a strong advocate in Washington for Beverly and cities across the Commonwealth, and I will fight to ensure that we make the investments we need in roads, bridges, and education, to create an environment where businesses can grow and succeed.”
