Second Alarm Fire Reported at Ryal Side Home Under Construction

A home under construction in the Ryal Side neighborhood of Beverly was on fire on Sunday night.

It was a two-alarm fire that was reported at about 9:30 p.m. at 29 Folger Ave., in an area known as Tanzella's Hill.

The home on fire is part of a relatively new development called Bass River Estates and was reportedly unoccupied.

There were occupied homes in the area that were threatened by the fire, according to Tweets from public safety officials, and embers were in the air around the neighborhood.

Fire crews from Danvers, Salem and Manchester-by-the-Sea were assisting Beverly firefighters.
