Officer is Told 'Christ Will Die for This'; Arrests for B&E and Underage Drinking

The following is an excerpt from the Beverly Police Department's daily log: 

Sunday, April 13 

  • At 4:01 p.m., Police responded to the report of some burnt credit cards that were found on Lothrop Street 
  • At 4:06 p.m., police responded to a report of a girl assaulted at a teen dance 
  • At 4:46 p.m., police responded to a suicide attempt by a self-inflicted knife wound, Cabot Street 
  • At 4:57 p.m., a resident called to report a hypodermic needle found under two saw horses on Rantoul Street 
  • At 8:17, police responded to Lindsay Ave to reports of a man screaming obscenities on a cell phone 
  • At 9:01 p.m., callers reported someone yelling, drinking and getting into a motor vehicle on Cabot Street 
  • At 10:55 p.m., police responded to reports of harassing phone calls 
Monday, April 14 

  • At 12:49 a.m., police receive reports of a man looking into parked vehicles on Rantoul Street and Federal Street. The man said he was looking on the ground for scratch tickets
  • At 10:22 a.m., police issued a citation to a driver on Dodge Street and Whittaker Way. The driver was argumentative immediately during the stop and after the citation was issued, the driver "appeared to be reading the Koran or some sort of bible." The driver responded to the officer "Christ will die for this" after receiving citation. 
  • At 12:29 p.m., police respond about a man and woman arguing fighting while walking on Cabot Street and Thorndike Street 
  • At 1:28 p.m., residents from Bisson Street called to complain about trash building up all over the street
  • At 3:18 p.m., police responded to larceny of $300 from a wallet, Enon Street 
  • At 5:25 p.m., police report harassing calls from a "Spanish lady" who had called several times during the morning and day before 
Arrests: 

Timothy Joseph Danskin, 19, 51 Story Ave., Beverly, arrested for possessing liquor under the age of 21 

David M. Fragoza, 28, 276 Rantoul St., Beverly, arrested and charged with B&E in daytime for a felony, larceny more than $250
