Good Samaritan Foils Attempted Car Jacking in Beverly

A good samaritan prevented a car jacking in Beverly Sunday, according to 7News Boston.

A good samaritan stopped an intoxicated man from carjacking a local teen at a gas station in Beverly Sunday night, 7News Boston is reporting.

According to the 7News report, a 17-year-old Beverly resident was pumping gas when Greg Vigliotta, 46, of Salem tried to carjack their vehicle.

Although the teen went into the gas station to call 911, they were reportedly followed inside by Vigliotta and attacked.

That's when Barney Rogers, who was able to hold Vigliotta until police arrived, stepped in to help.
