Bridge Jumper Pulled From Beverly Harbor

A man who jumped from the Veterans Memorial Bridge Sunday afternoon was pulled from the water and taken to the hospital.

A man who reportedly jumped from the Veterans Memorial Bridge Sunday afternoon was pulled out of the water and taken to the hospital, Salem police have confirmed. 

The unidentified man was rescued from the water by the Beverly Harbormaster shortly after 4 p.m. and taken to Beverly Hospital by ambulance, according to Beverly police.

It is unclear whether he suffered any serious injuries. 

The fixed-span bridge carries Route 1A across the Danvers River near Beverly Harbor and connects Beverly and Salem.
