Beverly DPW Clears Out Homeless Camp on Woodland Avenue

The following is an excerpt from the Beverly Police Department's log: 

Wednesday, March 26

  • At 4:20 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Federal Street.
  • At 4:24 p.m., police responded to an alarm on Cabot Street.
  • At 5:19 p.m., police responded to a minor motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Enon Street and Lakeview Avenue.
  • At 5:55 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Home Street.
  • At 6:11 p.m., police responded to an alarm on Dodge Street.
  • At 6:20 p.m., police responded to an alarm on Cabot Street.
  • At 7:40 p.m., police responded to a report of a downed tree limb on Lexington Drive.
  • At 8:08 p.m., police responded to an alarm on Neptune Street.
  • At 8:46 p.m., police responded to a medical emergency on Cabot Street.
  • At 9:57 p.m., a resident called police to report a large piece of sheet metal was coming off of the "old press box" on Park Street. A construction company was notified.
  • At 10:14 p.m., police responded to an alarm on Eisenhower Avenue.
  • At 10:21 p.m., police responded to an alarm on Putnam Street.
  • At 10:23 p.m., police responded to an alarm on Woodland Avenue.
  • At 11:21 p.m., police responded to a medical emergency near the intersection of Cabot Street and Columbus Avenue.
  • At 11:52 p.m., police responded to an alarm on Sohier Road.

Thursday, March 27

  • At 1:22 a.m., police responded to an alarm on Rantoul Street.
  • At 1:41 a.m., police responded to an alarm on Henderson Road.
  • At 6:07 a.m., police responded to an alarm on Balch Street.
  • At 6:15 a.m., police responded to an alarm on Brimbal Avenue.
  • At 8:46 a.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident near the intersection of Hale and Cross streets.
  • At 9:09 a.m., a resident turned over some silverware items that they found under a bush on Washington Street. 
  • At 11:12 a.m., the DPW dispersed a homeless camp on Woodland Avenue.
