Attempted Break-in Reported on Cabot Street

The following is an excerpt from the Beverly Police Department's log:


Tuesday, April 22

  • At 5:32 p.m., police responded to a report of kids on the tracks on Park Street.
  • At 5:51 p.m., police responded to a report of kids smoking marijuana on Cabot Street.
  • At 6:40 p.m., police responded to a past attempted break-in on Cabot Street.
  • At 7:14 p.m., police responded to an alarm on Eisenhower Avenue.
  • At 8:00 p.m., police responded to a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident on Cabot Street.
  • At 8:19 p.m., police responded to a medical emergency on River Street.
  • At 9:49 p.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Dodge Street.
  • At 11:03 p.m., police responded to a report of a possum on a doorstep on Essex Street. An officer pushed the possum with a broom and it ran away.

Wednesday, April 23

  • At 12:41 a.m., police responded to a report of a man trying to flag down cars near the intersection of Cabot and Rantoul streets. 
  • At 2:13 a.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Rantoul Street.
  • At 3:01 a.m., police conducted a store check on Rantoul Street.
  • At 3:58 a.m., police responded to a fire alarm on Western Avenue.
  • At 7:48 a.m., police responded to an alarm on Herrick Street.
  • At 9:30 a.m., police responded to a reported larceny by scam on Bennett Street.
  • At 9:32 a.m., police responded to an alarm on Enon Street.
  • At 10:43 a.m., police conducted a well-being check on Lothrop Street.
  • At 1:33 p.m., police responded to a report of a drunk man harassing customers on Park Street.
  • At 2:19 p.m., police responded to a report of drug activity on Grant Street.
  • At 2:23 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Winthrop Avenue.
Other Arrests

Brett R. Bennett, 21, of 23 Lyman St., Beverly, was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.

Daniel Snyder, 34, of 6 Dummond Drive, Stoneham, was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.

Christopher R. Whyman, 27, of 8 Memorial Drive, Salem, was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

Aaron R. Garvey, 34, of 74 Chambers St., Lowell, was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.
