Beverly Police Nab Alleged Vehicle Burglars on Giles Avenue

The following is an excerpt from the Beverly Police Department's log:
 

Thursday, April 17

  • At 4:19 p.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Rantoul Street.
  • At 4:39 p.m., police responded to a past assault on Chase Street.
  • At 4:59 p.m., police responded to an alarm on Ropes Street.
  • At 7:09 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Laurel Street.
  • At 7:10 p.m., police responded to a disturbance on Essex Street.
  • At 7:27 p.m., police responded to a dispute between roommates on Cabot Street. Dennis R. Thibault, 52, of 35 Cabot St., Beverly, was arrested on charges of threatening to commit a crime (murder) and assault and battery on a disabled person. The alleged victim was taken to Beverly Hospital.
  • At 8:51 p.m., police responded to a report of counterfeit bills on Cabot Street.
  • At 10:22 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Beverly Commons Drive.
  • At 10:33 p.m., police responded to a report of an unwanted guest on Cabot Street.
  • At 10:40 p.m., police responded to a report of an unruly customer on Dodge Street.

Friday, April 18

  • At 1:13 a.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident on River Street.
  • At 1:28 a.m., police responded to an alarm on Eisenhower Avenue.
  • At 2:11 a.m., police responded to a report of kids looking into cars on Giles Avenue. Robert R. Bruce, 23, of 137 Bridge St., Beverly, was arrested on charges of receiving stolen property valued above $250 and breaking and entering during the nighttime for a felony. Wesley L. Chandler, 23, of 27 West Dane St., Beverly, was arrested on a charge of breaking and entering during the nighttime for a felony, receiving stolen property valued above $250, possessing a burglarious instrument, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle while in possession of an open container of alcohol.
  • At 2:34 a.m., police responded to a report of someone banging on the side of a house on Butman Street.
  • At 2:52 a.m., police conducted a well-being check on Rantoul Street.
  • At 7:41 a.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Cabot Street.
  • At 9:09 a.m., police responded to a past vehicle break-in on Hart Street.
  • At 9:24 a.m., a resident entered the police station to report a past vehicle break-in on High Street.
  • At 10:47 a.m., police made an arrest on Columbus Avenue.
  • At 11:51 a.m., police responded to an unattended death on Gove Avenue.
  • At 2:22 p.m., a resident entered the police station to report a past assault.
  • At 2:22 p.m., police responded to a past vehicle break-in on High Street.

Other Arrests

Acasha M. Baer, 17, of 35 Grant St., Beverly, was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.

Joseph M. George, 48, of the streets of Beverly, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct.

George J. Kastrinakis, 20, of 12 Hull St., Beverly, was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.
