Beverly Man Arrested on Assault Charge

The following is an excerpt from the Beverly Police Department's log: 

Tuesday, March 4:

  • At 4:42 p.m., police responded to a report of threats on Balch Street.
  • At 7:02 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Cabot Street.
  • At 9:03 p.m., police responded to a report of a drunk woman on Rantoul Street.
  • At 10:29 p.m., police responded to a report of a pedestrian struck on Roundy Street.

Wednesday, March 5

  • At 12:11 a.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Cabot Street.
  • At 12:40 a.m., police responded to a report of past vehicle break-in on Park Street. A man told police he found another man in his car and chased him up the street.
  • At 1:23 a.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Manor Road.
  • At 8:39 a.m., police conducted a well-being check on Rantoul Street. 
  • At 9:24 a.m., police conducted a well-being check on Rantoul Street.
  • At 9:33 a.m., police responded to a past larceny on Knowlton Street. A resident told police they believe a Domino's driver took a package from the common hallway sometime Tuesday night.
  • At 12:46 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Northridge Road.
     
Arrests

Wayne Sylvia Jr., 42, of 606 Manor Road, Beverly, was arrested on a charge of assault and battery.

Britton S. Hoffman, 26, of 17B Thorndike St., Beverly, was arrested on a charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Gabriel Suazo, 26, of 60 Rantoul St., Beverly, was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
