Pedestrian Struck at Knowlton and Winter

The following is an excerpt from the Beverly Police Department's log: 

Wednesday, Feb. 26:

  • At 4:45 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Bridge Street.
  • At 4:59 p.m., police responded to a report of a person looking into cars near the intersection of River and Bridge streets.
  • At 9:42 p.m., police responded to a report of a person shining a laser on Cogswell Avenue.
  • At 10:31 p.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Courtney Drive.

Thursday, Feb. 27:

  • At 1:26 a.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Cabot Street.
  • At 4:27 a.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Elliott Street.
  • At 8:36 a.m., police responded to a report of struck railroad gates near the intersection of Essex and Spring streets.
  • At 9:05 a.m., police responded to a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident on Essex Street.
  • At 9:13 a.m., police responded to a possible past larceny on Lothrop Street.
  • At 11:47 a.m., police responded to a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident on Rantoul Street.
  • At 1:59 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Rantoul Street.
  • At 3:43 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian near the intersection of Knowlton and Winter streets.

Arrest

Steven J. Durbano, 41, of 28 Main St., North Reading, was arrested on a charge of assault and battery.
