Beverly Man Facing Second Drunk Driving Charge

The following is an excerpt from the Beverly Police Department's log: 

Sunday, Feb. 16:

  • At 4:57 p.m., police responded to a report of a vehicle into a building on Herrick STreet.
  • At 5:15 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Charnock Street.
  • At 7:47 p.m., police conducted a well-being check near the intersection of Cabot and Roundy streets.
  • At 8:00 p.m., police responded to a medical emergency on Cornell Road.
  • At 11:37 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Cabot Street.

Monday, Feb. 17

  • At 1:23 a.m., police responded to a report of women fighting in a vehicle on Cabot Street.
  • At 4:02 a.m., police responded to an alarm on Michael Road.
  • At 8:39 a.m., police conducted a well-being check on James Street.
  • At 1:40 police conducted a well-being check on Eisenhower Avenue.
  • At 3:18 p.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Woodland Avenue.
  • At 5:38 p.m., police responded to a solicitor complaint near the intersection of Crescent and Jacobs avenues.
  • At 5:39 p.m., police were alerted to a large pothole on Dodge Street.
  • At 6:32 p.m., police responded to an alarm on Sargent Street.
  • At 6:45 p.m., police responded to an unattended death on Corning Street.
Other Arrests

Thomas Theriault, 52, of 15 Ives St., Beverly, was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, second offense.

Luis O. Carrion Jr., 43, of 13 Edwards St., Beverly, was arrested on charges of assault and battery and two counts of threatening to commit a crime.

Steven Gibney, 47, of 32 Story Ave., Beverly, was arrested on a charge of assault and battery. 

Jorge E. Hassan, 33, of 27 Fayette St., Beverly, was arrested on a charge of assault and battery.

Carter M. Chickering, 20, of 1811 Granger Way, Helena, Calif., was arrested on charges of malicious destruction of property valued above $250 and disturbing the peace.
