Beverly Police Arrest Local Man on Shoplifting Charge

Wednesday, Feb. 19:

Thursday, Feb. 20

  • At 4:27 p.m., police responded to a past break-in on Rantoul Street.
  • At 4:36 p.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Woodland Avenue.
  • At 6:12 p.m., police responded to a minor motor vehicle accident on Cabot Street.
  • At 8:51 p.m., police responded to a disturbance on Northridge Road.
  • At 9:38 p.m., police responded to a medical overdose on Dodge Street.
  • At 10:17 p.m., police responded to a medical emergency on Shortell Avenue.
  • At 11:25 p.m., police responded to a report of a man jumping in and out of traffic near the intersection of Bridge Street and Western Avenue.

Thursday, Feb. 20

  • At 8:06 a.m., police responded to a medical emergency on Winthrop Avenue.
  • At 8:27 a.m., police responded to a shoplifting incident on Cabot Street. Glenn G. Norwood, 51, of 53 Lovett St., Beverly, was arrested on a charge of shoplifting merchandise by asportation.
  • At 9:35 a.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Netherton Avenue.
  • At 12:22 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident with injury near the intersection of Brimbal Avenue and Herrick Street.
  • At 1:43 p.m., police responded to a disturbance on Penny Lane.
  • At 2:52 p.m., police conducted a building check on Thorndike Street.
