Hit-and-Run Accident Reported on Winthrop Avenue

The following is an excerpt from the Beverly Police Department's log: 


Monday, Feb. 17:

  • At  4:51 p.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Herrick Street.
  • At 5:39 p.m., police responded to a report of a large pothole near the intersection of Dodge and Laurel streets.
  • At 6:45 p.m., police responded to an unattended death on Corning Street.
  • At 11:08 p.m., police responded to a report of an unruly patient on Herrick Street.
  • At 11:30 p.m., police responded to a report of two youths dressed in dark clothing near the intersection of Echo Avenue and Sturtevant Street.
  • At 11:53 p.m., police responded to a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident on Winthrop Avenue.

Tuesday, Feb. 18

  • At 2:39 a.m., police responded to a report of an odor of smoke in a home on James Street.
  • At 2:55 a.m., police responded to a carbon monoxide alarm on Ober Street.
  • At 10:56 a.m., police attempted to serve a summons on Cabot Street.
  • At 10:58 a.m., police attempted to serve a summons on Lovett Street.
  • At 11:27 a.m., police attempted to serve a summons on Story Avenue.
  • At 12:31 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Rowell Avenue.
  • At 1:20 p.m., police attempted to serve a summons on Park Street.
  • At 1:23 p.m., police responded to an alarm on Lothrop Street.
  • At 2:52 p.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Sohier Rod.
  • At 2:56 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident with property damage near the intersection of Boyles Street and Brook Head Avenue.
  • At 4:12 p.m., police responded to a report of missing money on Essex Street.
  • At 5:01 p.m., police responded to an accidental 911 call from a home on Broughton Drive.
  • At 5:24 p.m., police responded to an unattended death on Matthies Street.
  • At 6:01 p.m., police responded to a report of missing money on Chase Street.
