Hit-and-Run Accident Reported on Middlebury Lane

The following is an excerpt from the Beverly Police Department's log: 


Monday, May 5

  • At 4:47 p.m., police responded to an alarm on Coolidge Avenue.
  • At 5:25 p.m., police responded to a medical emergency on Herrick Street.
  • At 6:28 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Herrick Street.
  • At 7:10 p.m., police responded to a report of an out-of-control 8-year-old with a stick on Manor Road.
  • At 7:30 p.m., police responded to a panhandling complaint on Park Street.
  • At 7:51 p.m., police responded to a report of vandalism to a motorcycle on Ocean Street.
  • At 9:13 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Middlebury Lane. A motorist reportedly struck a light pole and left the area.

Tuesday, May 6

  • At 12:25 a.m., police assisted an intoxicated woman on Hale Street. 
  • At 1:07 a.m., police responded to a past assault on Arthur Street.
  • At 3:52 a.m., police responded to a medical emergency on Conant Street.
  • At 7:30 a.m., a Guild Road resident called police to report a sick possum.
  • At 8:52 a.m., police responded to an alarm on Cabot Street.
  • At 10:15 a.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Herrick Street.
  • At 10:48 a.m., a resident turned over a weapon for destruction.
  • At 11:29 a.m., police responded to a report of a young man in pajamas on Lake Shore Avenue. The person was turned over to their caretaker.
  • At 12:07 p.m., police conducted a well-being check near the intersection of West Dane and Chase streets.
  • At 12:54 p.m., police responded to a report of threats to shoot a police officer on Herrick Street.
  • At 1:19 p.m., police responded to a past larceny on Cedar Street.
  • At 1:36 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Old Essex Road.
  • At 2:04 p.m., a Chapman Street resident called police to report a stranger sitting on their front porch.
  • At 2:44 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Blaine Avenue.

Arrests


Corey M. Lewis, 22, of 11 Whitney Ave., Beverly, was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.

George M. Keith, 52, of 33 Arthur St., Beverly, was arrested on a charge of assault with a dangerous weapon.
