Beverly Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrest

The following is an excerpt from the Beverly Police Department's log: 


Wednesday, April 23:

  • At 4:30 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Park Street.
  • At 8:27 p..m., police responded to an alarm on Putnam Street.
  • At 9:04 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident near the intersection of Elliott Street and Giles Avenue.
  • At 10:03 p.m., police responded to an assault on Manor Road.
  • At 10:08 p.m., police recovered a stolen motor vehicle on Cabot Street.

Thursday, April 24:

  • At 2:13 a.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Cabot Street.
  • At 8:04 a.m., a resident called police to report that their scooter was stolen from a parking space on Rantoul Street overnight.
  • At 8:46 a.m., police responded to a report of wires down on Dickinson Way.
  • At 9:30 a.m., police responded to a report of a tree down on Common Lane.
  • At 10:05 a.m., police stopped a motor vehicle on Sohier Road. Kurt A. Kaden, 45, of 147 Lynn St., Peabody, was arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and illegally possessing a class B substance.
  • At 10:07 a.m., police checked on a homeless encampment on Woodland Avenue.
  • At 10:21 a.m., police responded to a past sexual assault on Story Avenue.
  • At 10:24 a.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident on McKay Street.
  • At 11:19 a.m., police responded to a fire in the median strip on Rt. 128.
  • At 12:58 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian near the intersection of Cabot and Rantoul streets.
  • At 1:13 p.m., police took down a homeless camp site off of Woodland Avenue.
  • At 1:51 p.m., police responded to a dispute between landlord and tenant on Wedgemere Road.
  • At 2:50 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Broughton Drive.

Other Arrests

Aaron R. Garvey, 34, of 74 Chamberst St., Lowell, was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.

Adam P. Shairs, 30, of 56 River St., Beverly, was arrested for reportedly having two outstanding warrant.
