Beverly Police Make 17 Weekend Arrests

The following information was submitted by the Beverly Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.


The following is an excerpt from the Beverly Police Department's log:

Friday, Feb. 28

  • At 5:00 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Cabot Street.
  • At 6:30 p.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Broughton Drive.
  • At 7:47 p.m., police responded to a past assault on Chase Street.
  • At 8:43 p.m., police responded to a report of a possible vehicle break-in on Williams Street. Officers determined that some kids were urinating in a driveway. They were sent on their way.
  • At 9:15 p.m., police responded to a reported water main break at the intersection of Front and South streets.
  • At 10:01 p.m., police made an arrest on Haskell Street. William J. Cunningham, 42, of 87 Haskell St., Beverly, was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.

Saturday, March 1:

  • At 12:37 a.m., police responded to a report of someone ringing doorbells on Sunset Drive.
  • At 1:18 a.m., police responded to a loud house party on Mason Street. Anthony J. Gesualdi, 21, of 6 Canonchet Trial, Johnston, was arrested on charges of disturbing the peace and violating the city's noise ordinance. Kevin M. Green, 23, of 30 Lynn Court Darien, Conn., was arrested on charges of disturbing the peace and violating the city's noise ordinance. Ryan E. Hansen, 21, of 22 Seaview Ave., West Haven, Conn., was arrested on charges of disturbing the peace and violating the city's noise ordinance. Patrick D. Lyons, 21, of 69 Newton Turnpike, Westport, Conn., was arrested on charges of disturbing the peace and violating the city's noise ordinance.
  • At 2:07 a.m., police responded to a disturbance on Herrick Street.
  • At 6:07 a.m., police and fire units responded to an alarm on Phillips Street.
  • At 7:12 a.m., police responded to a past break-in on Enon Street.
  • At 8:33 a.m., a resident on Bow Street called police to report that their tires were slashed overnight.
  • At 12:26 p.m., a resident on Odell Avenue called police to report that their car was damaged sometime overnight.
  • At 5:09 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Rantoul Street.
  • At 8:03 p.m., police stopped a motor vehicle near the intersection of Park and Creek streets. Jerry Calderon, 36, of 19 West Dane St., Beverly, was arrested on a charge of illegally possessing a class C substance.
  • At 10:07 p.m., police responded to a loud party on Bartlett Street.
  • At 11:42 p.m., police responded to a loud party on Bartlett Street. Chris A. Elser Jr., 21, of 196 Brownbrook Road, Soutbury, Conn., was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct. Olivia M. Gates, 22, of 35 Collins St., Danvers, was arrested on a charge of disturbing the peace. Gustavo A. Mesa, 20, of 145 Barnum Terrace, Stratford, Conn., was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct. David Moller, 22, of 11 Cook St., Billerica, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct. Alyssa K. Morrisoe, 21, of 36 Bartlett St., Beverly, was arrested on a charge of disturbing the peace. Caitlin M. Pryor, 22, of 1 Interval Drive, Cumberland, R.I., was arrested on a charge of disturbing the peace.

Sunday, March 2:

  • At 2:01 a.m., police stopped a motor vehicle near the intersection of Rantoul and Summer streets. Jose L. Rivera, 23, of 461 Cabot St., Beverly, was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.
  • At 2:02 a.m., police made an arrest on Cabot Street. Daniel J. Riley, 21, of 24 Briar Wood St., Hanover, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct.
  • At 3:11 a.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Beverly Commons Drive.
  • At 8:27 a.m., police responded to a medical emergency on Iverson Road.
  • At 11:57 a.m., police responded to a past theft and vehicle break-in on Congress Street.
  • At 1:13 p.m., police responded to a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident on Old Essex Road.
  • At 2:39 p.m., police responded to a report of a man trying car doors near the intersection of Rantoul and West Dane streets.
  • At 4:40 p.m., police responded to a report of a coyote struck by a motor vehicle on Essex Street. An officer fired two rounds to put down the coyote. 
  • At 4:50 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Park Street.
  • At 6:34 p.m., police responded to a report of a fight in a store on Cabot Street. 
  • At 9:55 p.m., police responded to a loud party on Park Street.

Monday, March 3

  • At 1:31 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident with property damage on Essex Street.
Other Arrests

Gregory S. Luxton, 43, of 38 Enon St., Beverly, was arrested on charges of threatening to commit a crime and assault and battery.

Jose Deleon, 27, of 30 High St., Lynn, was arrested on a charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. 

Gregory P. Vigliotta, 44, of the streets of Beverly, was arrested on charges of attempting to commit a crime, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, malicious destruction of property valued above $250, two counts of assault and battery, disturbing the peace and resisting arrest.
