Beverly firefighters extinguished a burning National Grid van on River Street early Monday morning.

At approximately 3:30 a.m., Beverly firefighters responded to a report of a van burning in a row of vehicles in the National Grid parking lot.

WCVB Boston photographer Stanley Forman posted the photo above to Twitter Monday.

Deputy Fire Chief Peter O'Connor said the van was so "fully-involved" that a nearby vehicle suffered heat damage.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
