Armed Home Invasion Sends Victim to the Hospital

A person was taken to the hospital after an armed home invasion in Beverly on Friday morning.

A person was hospitalized after an armed home invasion at a Beverly residence on Friday morning.

Beverly police were called to Highland Terrace – off Highland Street between Railroad Avenue and Broadway in the downtown – at about 8:50 a.m. for the report of an armed home invasion.

Police spokesman, Officer Michael Boccuzzi, said a firearm and a knife were used.

The victim was taken to Beverly Hospital by ambulance and later interviewed by police detectives. No further info was available about the extent of the victim’s injuries.

There had been no arrests, as of Friday evening, and no information was released about any suspects.

“At this time an investigation is ongoing, and further details will be released when they become available,” Boccuzzi said.
