Sorrento Dental Hosts Blood Drive - Team Sets Goal of 50 Donors to Help Save Lives

January 10, 2014 (Ipswich, MA) - Sorrento Dental, a local
leading provider of quality dental care, is hosting a blood drive on Tuesday,
January 21, 2014 from 2pm – 7pm. It will be held at Sorrento Dental, located in
the Cable Professional Building at 130 County Road in Ipswich, MA.

In an effort to encourage members of the community to come
and give the gift of life, Sorrento Dental will be serving up hot chocolate and
baked goodies to everyone who donates blood. Additionally, they will be
raffling off a free teeth whitening package. “Anyone who donates blood is
qualified to win,” said Rachael Sorrento, Office Manager and Hygienist at the
practice. “We encourage anyone who is interested to schedule an appointment in
advance by calling our office.”

Donors will need to bring photo identification, must be at
least 17 years of age, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds, and be in good health the
day of the drive. According to the American Red Cross, individuals can donate a
pint of blood every 56 days. Donors are encouraged to eat a meal prior to
giving blood and drink plenty of water.

“We are excited to kick off the New Year by hosting our very
first blood drive at our office,” said Dr. James Sorrento. “We are counting on
our patients and the community to make a resolution to help save a life by
donating blood or by simply spreading the word to friends and family to help us
reach more donors in our community.”
