Topsfield Fair's Theme Comes from Beverly Woman

This year's theme for the Topsfield Fair comes from a Beverly woman as the winner of the fair's first ever theme contest.

The theme of this fall's Topsfield Fair will come from a Beverly woman.

"Make Time for a Great Time" will be the theme and it comes from Julia Lawrence of Beverly.

There were more than 200 submissions through the Fair's Facebook fanpage. A fair committee judged all of the entries, and announced the Top 5 theme entries in April.

The finalists consisted of "Barn in the USA," "Fun for the Whole Herd," "It's a Family A-Fair," "Make Time for a Great Time," and "Old Friends, New Adventures."

The final decision then went to the Topsfield Fair's Facebook fans and Twitter followers. Over 1,000 votes later, Lawrence was the winner.

Lawrence won a prize package that of four tickets to the 2013 Topsfield Fair and an assortment of collectible Topsfield Fair paraphernalia. There were also two runners up, "Barn in the USA," by Samantha Hamilton of Lowell and "Old Friends, New Adventures," by Ellen Simard of Lynn. Each of them will get two tickets to the 2013 Topsfield Fair.
