Minuteman Health holds "Lunch and Learn" session in Beverly

Minuteman Health executives met with members of the Beverly business community on Wednesday, Dec. 18 to discuss Minuteman’s unique approach to member-governed, high-quality, lower-cost healthcare.

 The “lunch and learn” session was sponsored by Vigliotti Insurance & Consulting Inc. and the Beverly Chamber of Commerce and was held at the Chamber’s Cummings Center headquarters.

 Patrick O’Brien, Director of Employer/Broker Relations, said Minuteman is reaching out to Chambers of Commerce, business groups and insurance brokers throughout its coverage area to increase awareness of Minuteman’s products.

 ”We have an exciting new concept that will give small businesses and individuals an attractive alternative to the other products in the market,” O’Brien said.  “We’re very pleased with the response as more people learn about Minuteman’s approach.”

 Minuteman Health is a new member-governed, non-profit health maintenance organization (HMO) committed to removing inefficiencies from today’s health insurance system to provide high-quality care, cut administrative costs and reduce premiums for individuals and businesses in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Any profits will be reinvested or returned to members through expanded benefits or reduced premium rates.  Minuteman Health’s unique member-governance structure allows members to elect the board of directors and to run for election to the board.
