The plan for a six-story hotel at the Cummings Center was suspended last week, and we want to know what you'd like to see in the space.
The proposed space for the 140-room hotel at the corner of McKay and Elliott Street is currently zoned for commercial/industrial buildings.
Mayor Bill Scanlon told the Salem News he'd be 'reluctant' to a residential building at the site, and if proposed, the change would have to go through the Zoning Board of Appeals.
The possibility of a hotel hasn't been ruled out indefinitely, but for the time being the project will be suspended until 2013.
Would you like to see a hotel, housing or something else, at the Cummings Center? Let us know in the comments.
