Does Beverly Have Too Many Pizza Shops?

There are about 20 pizza shops in Beverly.

There's a new pizza shop in Beverly - Mike's Pizzeria and Subs on Cabot Street.

The new restaurant is located in the small shopping plaza at 377 Cabot St., next to Bessie Baker Park, that is ancored by Rite Aid.

A few yeras ago there was a Pizza Hut next door to the new location for Mike's.

Earlier this spring, a new pizza shop - first called Lisa's Pizza and now called Leoni's Pizza - opened on Rantoul Street in space that used to be The Farm Downtown.

And according to a count by Bevelry Patch, there are about 20 "pizza shops" in Beverly, not counting restaurants such as River Street Grille and Not Your Average Joe's that has pizza on the menu.
