Health officials are reporting widespread influenza outbreaks in 47 of 50 states, up from just a week ago.
The city of Beverly hosted several flu clinics earlier in the season. Yesterday Beverly Hospital hosted a last-minute flu-shot clinic with their leftover supply of 200 vaccines. Minute clinics and local pharmacies have seen swarms of those looking to prevent the flu.
