UPDATED: Trash Pickup Cancelled for Beverly

Trash pickup in Beverly was cancelled Monday morning.

Beverly trash pickup for Monday, Oct. 29 has been cancelled, according to the Department of Public Services

On Sunday evening, Public Services director Mike Collins told Beverly Patch the city's contractor had not cancelled.

This morning, however, they announced curbside pickup will be delayed.

"At this time they are adjusting the schedule by one day," Collins said. "This puts them on a schedule as though it were a Monday holiday.  Everybody is one day late. We will see if tomorrow can be on schedule due to weather but right now Monday’s pickup is on Tuesday. We have sent out a automated phone message to all our customers."

I received a reverse 911 this morning at 9:17am that the trash would not be collected today, that trash pick up will be a day delayed all week.
